Ho Chi Minh City is the business and financial hub of Vietnam, the perfect location for another historical event of IMG. Though Vietnam is a small country, it has a lot to offer travelers from it's natural landscapes to man-made architectures even despite the many years of struggles it had encountered.
Here are a few tips you must know before travelling to Vietnam.
1. Currency

Do you want to be an instant millionaire? Go to Vietnam, your PHP 2,000 is equivalent to almost VND 1,000,000. Since 1 Philippine Peso = 485 Vietnam Dong.
2. Travel Time and Time Difference
If you are from Cebu, there is no direct flight to Ho Chi Minh so you need to go to Manila. From Manila, the travel time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Take note as well of the time difference, Philippine Time is 1 hour ahead of Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City is known to be the "Motorbike Capital of the World" you can see motorbikes flooding the streets, this is one the mode of transportation in the city to weave through the traffic. You can also ride a taxi just make sure it is metered or take a bus which is cheaper.
4. Accommodation
Hotels are very affordable, you can have a budget hotel for as low as P500.00 or standard hotel for as low as P3,000.00. Check out agoda.com for reservations.
