That' why Financial Education is the biggest and most powerful innovation today. It is important to have basic knowledge on personal finance.

12 Life Lessons for Entrepreneurs

1. A Business is given by the Lord.

A business is a blessing, you should cooperate with grace. Always pray for guidance, his simple prayer is like this "Lord if this is for me, please make it easy. If it's not, please make it hard."

And since it is given by the Lord, you must always be prepared - "It is better to be prepared and not have an opportunity than to have an opportunity and not be prepared."

2. Don't stop learning.

Practice "Kaizen" a Japanese term for continuous improvement. Doing small improvements daily is the key to long-term success in life and in business.

Life at IMG moves Forward in Kerygma Conference 2016

Add Comment

Kerygma Conference is one of the biggest inspirational and learning event in our country today, where thousands of people from all walks of life gather not only to hear God's powerful message from inspiring speakers but also to learn from different industry experts.

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers preaching at MOA Arena
Last November 17-20, Kerygma Conference celebrated it's 10th year anniversary in SMX Convention Center and MOA Arena. International Marketing Group (IMG) is one of the conference partner for this year's event, together with our partner company Kaiser International Health Group.

It was my first time to join Kerygma Conference in Manila together with my co-servants at the Feast Cebu. The four-day event was absolutely amazing and truly a life changing experience to over 15,000 attendees nationwide. KCon is not just any ordinary inspirational talk about growing spiritually, it also inspires people to grow in almost all areas of life through the different classes.

For three (3) days, there is a morning and afternoon plenary talk and three (3) classes, we have the option to choose from the following:

1. Business and Career
2. Church System and Ministry
3. Family and Relationships
4. Leadership and Education
5. Wellness and Health

DAY 1

Morning Plenary Session - Bro. Jon Escoto

To be able to move forward, you have to change your belief. Instead of saying my business is not earning --- you say "My business is not earning YET!" Adding "YET" declares a truth that what you are going through is only a transportation of where you are destined to.

"Losers focus on what they are going through, winners focus on where they are going to"
"There is another season coming --- in moments of sorrow, think forward"

Class 1 - Inside Out: How Inner Healing bears Fruit in our Lives by Ilsa Reyes

Inner healing is oftentimes more difficult than physical healing. We often use "medicine" to suppress the symptoms but we don't go to the root cause. Escaping from the hurt is difficult, healing is a process.

"Don't be afraid to go through the process as you let our loving God lead the way."
"Inner healing sets you free! It enables you to see clearly, discern God's will for your life, and respond not out of fear, but out of love."
"It is LOVE that heals."
"You cannot heal what you cannot feel."
"Be Patient. God is not done with you yet."
"Be healed and be God's channel of healing."

Class 2 - Family Communication by Herald Cruz

Communication is the key to a loving relationship especially to families. We need to intentionally connect, invest time, and love unconditionally.

"It takes two to create a problem, it takes two to solve"
"Communication is 7% word, 93% body language."

Class 3 - The Secret on How to let Money work for you by Joen De Las Penas & Noel Arandilla

Our very own IMG CEO president, Joen delas Penas together with Noel Arandilla discussed about how to be your own money manager through promoting Financial Education. They discussed tidbits from the Financial Education Workshop with the following topics:

Powerful messages from Bro Bo Sanchez last IMG Convention 2014

Bro Bo Sanchez is a part of International Marketing Group with his team of financial advocates called "Truly Rich Makers."  As we all miss him last IMG Convention 2015. Now, everybody is pumped to see Bro Bo Sanchez this coming IMG Annual Convention on Sept. 2016.

However, he never fail to send us his best inspirational messages and recorded a video for his IMG family. (See video below this article)

Today let us take a look back at IMG convention 2014 and his powerful message that has inspired and changed a lot of people's lives.
Bro Bo Sanchez last IMG Convention 2014
Bro Bo Sanchez last IMG Convention 2014
Here are four power messages from Bro Bo Sanchez:

He started his talk with a verse from the Bible, in Deuteronomy 30:19:
"I put blessing and curse in front of you. Choose."
He reminded everyone that we all have the power to choose our destiny. We have the power to make our dreams come true.

One powerful way is to write down our goals and dreams in paper. He shared his experience of writing down his dreams. He wrote down about his dream family (wife and kids) even if he was still single, his dream of creating a community for the poorest of the poor, his dream house and becoming a best-selling author.

Power Message no.1: Write down all the blessings you want. Add a bit of imagination to excite yourself.

And indeed, all his dreams came true! We just got to acknowledge that we have the power. God has given us the power to make our dreams come true!

However, there is a block that is preventing us from achieving our dreams. This block is: "Education without Execution."

Is it really better to give than to receive?

Wealth file #10:
Rich people are excellent receivers.
Poor people are poor receivers.

Yes, you read it right. Rich people are excellent receivers. Why? Because they believe they deserve to receive the best things in life. While poor people believe they are unworthy.

This goes back to programming. When we were young, we were conditioned through verbal, modeling or specific incidents that would lead us to the way we think and believe now.

We are familiar of the saying: "It is better to give than to receive?" This statement is not necessarily true. Remember: for every giver, there is a receiver and every receiver, there is a giver. This statement may have been spread by organizations who want you to give and them to receive.
Is it really better to give than to receive?
Is it really better to give than to receive?
Though it is true that it is in giving that we feel most happy. However, if you want to give something and someone is not willing to receive it, what would you feel? The person has then deprived you of the wonderful feeling of giving because he is unwilling to receive your gift.

Thus, when someone gives you something like a gift, a compliment, an allowance, a bonus, a reward, then receive it and say, "thank you." Own it, because you deserve it.

However, when someone gives you a negative feedback, comment, or anything not good, and then you don't receive it, then who do you think it belongs? It goes back to the giver. All the hate, the criticism and doubts of other people, let it go and don't receive it. It tells more about them than about you.

Now, we know that rich people (mindset) are excellent receivers, how do we then strengthen our receiving muscle?

How big is your psychological wallet?

Add Comment

Wealth file #9:
Rich people are bigger than their problems.
Poor people are smaller than their problems.

This wealth file is all about how ready we are in terms of handling money. This is not about how BIG or small or money problems are BUT how BIG or small we are compared to our problems.

As T Harv would say, we can only grow to the extent that we do. If we think we are small, then we only do small things. And the problems, especially money problems like bills, mortgages, debts will appear to us as HUGE monsters.

However if we grow ourselves, then even how big we think problems are like taxes, lawsuits, sudden economic downfall, we are ready to face them because these problems are just small problems compare to our bigger and more confident selves.
How big is your psychological wallet?
How big is your psychological wallet?
Example:
10K income per month + 25K debt per month = BIG PROBLEM

If we are earning 10K per month and we have a 25K per month debt, then this looks like a big problem to us. However, if you grow ourselves, educate ourselves how to handle money, earn more, or get promoted by working harder and then we raise ourselves to earn 100K per month, then the 25K per month debt becomes a "no problem."

100K income per month + 25K debt per month = NO PROBLEM

Thus the solution really is to grow ourselves first. And one powerful way to grow is by learning, especially financial education!

Remember: We are all containers and each one of us has what we call our "psychological wallet." This wallet is the preset amount in our minds that we are willing to hold.

Thus, ask yourself, "how big is your psychological wallet?"

Want to get rich fast? Learn to sell

Add Comment

Wealth file #8:
Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value.
Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.

The word "selling" has been tainted with not so good impressions. We Filipinos, in one way or another, hate being sold. Like:

- When we go to the mall, looking for a good dress and the saleslady keeps following us.
- We walk on the street and salespeople are giving out flyers aggressively.
- Or when our insurance agent keeps on calling us.

These situations have left "selling" a bad taste in our mouths. However, as we said in cash flow planning, to increase our cash flow, we need to earn additional sources of income or manage our expenses.

In simple terms: earn more or save more.

The best way to earn more is basically to sell something. Personally, I love selling. Because when you are in this kind of career, you control your income. It is results-based rather than time-based. (More of this on wealth file no. 11)
Want to get rich fast? Learn to sell.
Want to get rich fast? Learn to sell.
However, when you take a closer look: rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value while poor people think negatively about selling and promotion. In other words, almost all rich people are salespeople but, again a big BUT, they are not just selling products or services for money rather they promote themselves and the value they can give to the world. They are doing a higher level of selling.

Here's a collection of the mission of powerful companies showing the value they offer to the world:

Why you should not hate or resent rich people

Add Comment

Wealth file #6:
Rich people admire other rich and successful people.
Poor people resent rich and successful people.

Wealth file #7:
Rich people associate with positive, successful people.
Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.

These two wealth files from the "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" are related as most of the times, we Filipinos have negative beliefs and perspectives towards rich people.
The rich people think very differently with poor people
The rich people think very differently with poor people
Examples are:
"Rich people are selfish and greedy."
"Rich people are snobbish."
"Rich people make their money from the sweat of the poor."

And because of these negative notions, we don't want to be associated with these rich people. However, these beliefs are neither true nor false and in fact they become self-sabotaging beliefs.

As per the law of attraction, we attract that which we want. However, when we dislike something or someone, we become an anti-magnet to the things we don't want. Meaning:
We all want to become wealthy, BUT when we hate/resent rich people, we become an anti-magnet to wealth.
Who wants to become a snobbish, selfish or greedy person? Ofcourse, No one! But when we believe that rich people are greedy, selfish or snobbish, then guess what, we will never be rich because we don't want to become greedy, selfish or snobbish.

But again, as mentioned these beliefs may not necessarily be true but rather can be supportive or non-supportive to your way to wealth. So I rather believe that wealthy people are good people and they help a lot of people because it is a more supportive belief towards my way to wealth. And so should you.

That's why rich people wants to be associate with other rich people, not because they are greedy but because they want to belong to an environment of supportive people.

And poor people associate themselves with other poor and negative people because they want to be comforted of their situation knowing they are not the only one. Worse, they resent the wealthy people to make themselves feel better.
Be in a positive environment
Be in a positive environment
As Jim Rohn cleverly said, "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." It is therefore very important to choose your environment wisely.

If you are in an environment where people talk about debt, are in debt and financially struggling, then guess what, most likely we are also in that same situation.

We need therefore to change our environment. And luckily, we have IMG as a vehicle where people can belong to a community or organization where people are success-driven. That's why IMG is having a global campaign to financially educate millions of Filipinos worldwide because we want to change the mindset of people to learn how to save and invest, to belong into a positive and supportive environment and to help people dream again that all our financial goals are really possible.

So to become wealthy, we need to think like the millionaires. We must learn to appreciate and admire other wealthy people by associating with other successful, success-driven and positive people. So that through attraction, when we become wealthy ourselves, other people will also admire and appreciate us.

Crisis: do you see danger or opportunity?

Wealth file #5:
Rich people focus on opportunities
Poor people focus on obstacles

This wealth file is related to wealth file no.1: The victims - blamer, justifier and complainer. While the wealth file no.1 talks about taking responsibility, this file talks about how we perceive things.

We all know that what we focus on, expands. So when we focus on the obstacles, the more and more obstacles we encounter. And just like the complainer, we become a negative person where people will then start to move away from us.

Remember: Nobody wants to be around someone who is negative.

Rich people focus on opportunities. As one financial mentor said, instead of saying "I can not afford it" ask yourself, "how can I afford it?" By asking yourself that question, your mind starts to work. It keeps on looking for opportunities, hidden wisdom, or basically, your mind becomes an opportunity-seeking machine. When you say, "I can not afford it." your mind automatically shuts down!

Today, let's play with your mind. Take a look at this picture, what do you see?

Do you deserve to be wealthy?

Add Comment
Wealth file #3:
Rich people are committed to being rich.
Poor people want to be rich.

Wealth file #4:
Rich people think big.
Poor people think small.

These two wealth files are somewhat related. They both meant that the difference between a person with rich mindset and a person with poor mindset is the level of belief to themselves and deservingness.

A person with rich mindset totally believes in himself, regardless of his current situation, that sooner or later he will be successful. This total belief gives him the commitment to become wealthy no matter what.

The poor person however, lacks belief in himself that he just "wants" to become wealthy. Everyone wants to become wealthy, BUT not all are committed to become one.

As I have done in most of my group training, when I ask the audience, "who among you here can see themselves, sooner or later, that they are holding in their hands, 1 Million Pesos cold cash!?"

Do you know what? Most people don't see it. Why? It boils down to the level of belief to themselves and their feeling of deservingness.
Do you deserve to be wealthy?
Do you deserve to be wealthy?
The rich person would definitely raise his hand with no reservation. The poor mindset person would have 2nd thoughts of raising his hand because he thinks in his mind that it is impossible for him to do that.

"Having a million would be good. I want that. But I don't think I can do that."

and by the law of attraction: "your wish is my command."

The 4th wealth file is related to the 3rd one. Because the rich person sees himself and is committed to becoming wealthy, he then thinks BIG. Massive goals. Huge goals. Because not only he believes in himself but also feels he deserves the best things in life by being successful.

Again, we settle for the things we think we deserve. The poor mindset only acts according to what he thinks he deserves: small, mediocre, just enough.

You see, whatever tools we have, skills we have, opportunities that come to us, if we don't believe in ourselves and if we feel not worthy of achieving success, then no matter what, we will never become wealthy.

Wealth or becoming rich starts in the mind. And if you might be wondering why we keep on talking about becoming rich? It's because we all deserve to become one.

The ultimate purpose of wealth is to help others. And if you are a good person, becoming wealthy will surely help a lot of people.

Remember: Broke is the state of your bank account. But poor is the state of your mind.

How do you win the money game?

Add Comment

Wealth file #2:
Rich people play the money game to win.
Poor people play the money game to not lose.

This may sound a little bit the same, "winning and not losing." But in terms of finance, they totally are planets apart.

Let's take for example the game of basketball. If a team wanted to win the game, they need to play on offense. They need to score. Though defense is a vital strategy needed in the game, no team could ever win on pure defense.

Relating to finance, playing the money game to win is playing on offense and playing the money game to not lose is playing on defense.

The rich people play the game to win. They have clarity, they have vision and they know exactly what they want to achieve. The poor people however, drift like a leaf on the river, appearing calm, relax and going with the flow, but totally lost and having no sense of direction.
How to win the money game
How to win the money game
Again, we refer the rich and poor as mindsets, not necessarily income.

So how do you win the money game?

Before we answer that question, let's look at some examples of how some Filipinos play the money game to not lose. And try to check if you know these people intimately.

Pedro: "It is enough for me to be able to eat three times a day."
Juan: "I still have enough money to last until the next paycheck."
Satiango: "I want to have enough money to pay the bills, and on time would be a miracle.!"
Diego: "Let's party until we drop, anyway paycheck's coming this Saturday."

You see, most of the time their target is just to get comfortable. The sad part is when life starts to throw challenges at these people, oftentimes, it becomes very difficult to stand back up.

Again, it does not matter how much you earn, everything starts in the mind. And this is how rich people think. These are the steps to win the money game:

The blamer, justifier and complainer. Are you one of them?

Add Comment

Wealth file #1:
Rich people believe "I create my life."
Poor people believe "Life happens to me."

As in our previous post: Lessons From The "Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind", we enumerated the 17 wealth files. Though we may not discuss every bit of detail, I suggest to just go buy the book.

Let's however, dissect the lessons on some (if not all) of the wealth files and how we can relate it to our advocacy in IMG.

The wealth file no.1 is all about responsibility. Taking responsibility and taking control of your future. Rich people believe they create their life, meaning they are responsible for the lives they have now. Relating this to IMG, this just shows that we are in the right environment, exercising our minds to think like the wealthy people by taking control of our finances.

IMG encourages people to "do-it-yourself" D.I.Y. Instead of relying to so-called financial planners and advisers, you become your own money manager. When you take charge of your life, you are one step closer to becoming wealthy as wealth starts in the mind.

On the other hand, poor people (referring to mindset not necessarily income) believe that life happens to them. They blame, justify and complain on their financial lives. These types of people are those that you need to avoid the most. They are in short called, victims.

Let's dissect why we need to avoid these 3 types of victims:
Are you a victim? A blamer, justifier or complainer?
Are you a victim? A blamer, justifier or complainer?
1. Blamer - this type of victim blames everybody else for their situation. They blame their employer, their employee, their business partner, their church, their parents, their spouse and even God! They blame everybody else except themselves.

Why? because it is easier to point the responsibility to others than taking the responsibility ourselves. By nature we want to keep our hands clean, and in so doing, we let others take the blame for our financial situations.

Example:
Poor Mindset: "My policy got lapsed because the agent did not remind me of my due date!"
Rich Mindset: "I keep a calendar and a reminder for my due dates so I can pay them on time regardless of my agent."

See the small difference in the mindset but totally BIG impact on their financial lives? Are you a blamer

Are you ready for Fatherhood?

Add Comment

I recently became a father.
Are you ready for the responsibilities of fatherhood?
Are you ready for the responsibilities of fatherhood?
As I carried my little baby girl, Nathania, I could not help but feel thankful and blessed to have such an opportunity: Fatherhood. Nothing in the world can compare to such joy I am feeling.

Nothing - no money, no fancy car, no single thing in the entire universe could ever replace the joy that I felt when I cradled her in my arms.

I felt love. I was in love. My beautiful wife, Rodielou, lying down, my beautiful baby girl in my arms. I feel like I am on the top of the world.

Was there an experience in your life as rich as this? The first kiss, your graduation day, your wedding day, the first time you got a house, bought your car or motorcycle, the moment you proposed or were proposed to - all beautiful moments.

Imagine going back to those memories and try savoring the feeling. Would you like to keep the feeling as long as you can? Everybody wants to but a lot of people would say that it is impossible to always be happy and I agree with you.

Truly the best things in life such as happiness are free. But to provide and sustain the best things is not as simple as A B and C.

We all know that such responsibility is not all fun and games. We need to take care of our families: our babies need their milk, we need to put food on the table, we need to have clothes to wear, a roof over our heads and security for our families to keep us safe from this unpredictable world.

However, not all couples are ready for such responsibility. A lot of couples fight and why would they?

Is it money?
Career issues?
Bills?
Husband fired from work?
Wife being not financially satisfied?

All the reasons above have one thing in common: Money.

In the world today, we need money to help us live the good life for our family and for ourselves as well.

Most of the time, our salaries are not enough. No matter how hard we work, how many hours we burn, how many people we please or how many insults we take because of work, we are not compensated enough - worse, we are not even appreciated.

And because we are obliged to take care of our families, we borrow money from people, take out loans - basically, go into debt. It provided us temporary relief but a headache when it is already due.

Because the money we have is no longer enough to pay our debts and feed our families at the same time, we dig into an even deeper debt until such time that everything we earn goes to just paying our debt.

Tell me, how does it feel to squeeze your income just to pay a debt? Not to mention its high interest rates. It does not feel good! It is sad, but true and a lot of people are in this situation.

Do you know what happiness is for an adult? It is to be debt-free. To be financially free! We don't need to sacrifice our happiness to provide for our families.

It may sound impossible to all, but it is very, very doable. And it happened to us because of IMG.

You see guys, it is easy to go into a relationship: to jump into lovemaking. But mind you, becoming a father, a dad - now that is a different story. Be sure to be ready with the responsibility.

Pass this to someone you care. Let this be a wake up call. And if you need help we are more than willing to help you.
